SnapShot Go collects zero personal data. Screenshots never leave your device. No accounts required. No tracking. Ever.
SnapShot Go ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps users capture, beautify, and export screenshots. This Privacy Policy explains what data we access, how we handle it, and your rights.
We are committed to the absolute minimum data footprint. This extension was designed from the ground up to work entirely locally in your browser — no servers, no databases, no analytics.
Data We Collect
Personal data we collect: None.
We do not collect, store, transmit, or process any of the following:
- •Your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information
- •Your browsing history or the URLs you visit
- •The content of the screenshots you take
- •Your location, IP address, or device identifiers
- •Usage analytics, click tracking, or behavioral data
- •Any financial or payment information
The only information stored anywhere is your editor preferences (background color, shadow settings, etc.) and optionally your Pro license key — both stored locally on your device only.
How Screenshots Are Handled
Capture
Taken using Chrome's built-in capture API when YOU click the icon.
Processing
All editing happens in your browser's memory using HTML5 Canvas.
Storage
Never saved to disk automatically and never sent to a server.
Export
Goes directly to your local file system or clipboard only.
Your screenshots are never uploaded, never analyzed, and never seen by anyone except you.
License Key & Payments
SnapShot Go offers a Pro Lifetime upgrade available for purchase through Dodo Payments.
Payment processing: All payments are handled entirely by Dodo Payments. We never see, store, or process your credit card number or billing address.
⚠️ Keep your license key private. Do not share it publicly. Each key is tied to your purchase and verified against Dodo Payments' license API only when you activate it.
Local Storage
SnapShot Go uses chrome.storage.local to save your preferences on your own device. This data never leaves your browser.

Third-Party Services
SnapShot Go interacts with the following third-party services in limited, specific ways:
- Dodo Payments (dodopayments.com)Used for payment processing and license key verification only. We never see your card details.
- Google FontsThe extension editor loads fonts from Google Fonts CDN for display purposes. Google may log this request.
We do not use any analytics services (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.), advertising networks, or any other third-party data processors.
Children's Privacy
SnapShot Go is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we collect no personal data from anyone, this applies equally to all users regardless of age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Since we do not collect your email address, we cannot notify you directly. We recommend checking this page periodically.
